Building roads and bridges can be dangerous. Each year about 7,500 highway construction workers get hurt or injured on the job. More than 80 highway construction workers are killed while performing their work. Our work doesn’t have to be dangerous. The Worker Safety workshop raises awareness about the primary hazards in roadway construction, followed by industry recognized practices for preventing serious injuries and fatalities.
